How it Works
The tanning solution is sprayed on the skin – the DHA then works with the proteins and enzymes in the top layer of the skin to create each individuals own tan. Each person's depth of color will vary depending on the individuals own skin tone. The solutions I use are alcohol free. Solutions are tinted with a natural, caramel color bronzer, for ease of application and instant gratification for you. The average tan lasts about a week. Each tan will fade differently due to many factors including dryness of skin, how well you follow the before and after tanning tips, the amount of time spent in water or exercising, certain medications, women's hormonal fluctuations, and your skin's own rate of exfoliation.

Preparing for your Airbrush Tan
Proper preparation for a long lasting airbrushed tan includes a regular routine of gentle but thorough exfoliation. Exfoliation should be done either the day before or the day of your appointment. Shaving and waxing is recommended 8-24 hours before your appointment. Do not use exfoliates containing oils. An inexpensive yet effective homemade scrub is a mixture of baking soda and a non moisturizing clear gel soap such as Suave. Apply mixture with a wet face cloth paying particular attention to rough skin areas like knees, elbows, ankles and the tops of your feet.

After showering, do not apply any oils, lotions, perfumes or deodorant. These products will act as barriers and affect the depth of the tan.Clear gel soaps are good on tanning days as they are less coating.

You can choose to tan in the buff, a dark swimsuit or undergarment. Have dark, loose fitting clothing and flip flops to wear afterwards. Tight clothing will rub on your tan, causing it to develop unevenly. All contact lenses and jewelry must be removed before spraying. Tie back hair with a band and or bring a shower cap to secure bangs and loose hair.

Post Tan Care

Once your tan is applied, you must allow it to dry completely. Do not touch your skin while drying. Do not wet your skin, sweat or shower for at least 8 hours. Use a towel for leather and light colored seats on warm days and an umbrella for rainy days.

When showering, use a moisturizing body wash product to help keep skin moist. Don't be concerned if some color washes off. This is normal. It is the initial bronzing agent . Creamy moisturizing opaque body washes are best for daily use on non tanning days. Never use a bar soap. Always PAT DRY, don't rub skin dry.

Regular moisturizing will prolong the wear of your sunless tan. Aveeno moisturizing lotion or other “24 hour” moisturizers are recommended. Products containing alcohol, glycolic acid, AHA and other exfoliating ingredients will prematurely fade your tan. Avoid long, hot showers/baths, hot tubs, pools and oceans. Water makes your skin soft and will make it exfoliate quicker, thereby shortening the longevity of your tan.

Our tanning solution does not provide any sun protection and it does not contain any sunscreen. Make sure to apply sunscreen to prevent sunburn when outdoors.
